Fallingwater

This is a current work in progress and these are just some quick renders from both sides of this project.

I built Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater in Maya and brought it into Unreal Engine, where I rebuilt the structure based on reference, fully re-textured it, and integrated it into a sculpted landscape.  I roughed in the surrounding valley and the signature slate rock base that the house sits on, added the river systems that feed the cascading waterfalls, and began dressing the environment with foliage and terrain detail work.

The scene features regionally accurate vegetation native to western Pennsylvania - including maple, beech, and rhododendron - to reinforce a sense of natural integration and historical context.

While the environment and lighting still needs another pass and more work, I pivoted focus to the interior of the first floor and some props for dressing.  I used Maya to block out several key furniture pieces - including vintage sofas, tables, chairs, and zabutons - based on photo references of the original design.  These were all UVed and textured using the PBR workflow in Substance Painter and Photoshop, with an eye toward material accuracy and historical authenticity.
